2010 ASTD MIDLANDS

SPEAKER PRESENTATION PROPOSAL

ASTD Midlands continues to provide outstanding speaker programs to our membership. We continue to have insightful, interactive and highly rated programs during our monthly meetings. In order to do this, we solicit and review speakers and material that meet the expressed needs of our training community.

We are currently entertaining presentation proposals for 2010, If you are interested in addressing our chapter, please complete this online form and submit.  The presentations shall not contain a marketing or sales solicitation.

The following list represents the ASTD Competency Model, the items bolded were identified by our local membership as highly desirable subject matter for presentations. Please be sure that your topic fits generally into at least one of these 9 core competencies:

  • Designing Learning
  • Delivering Learning
  • Human Performance Improvement
  • Measuring and Evaluating Learning
  • Facilitating Organizational Change
  • Managing the Learning Function
  • Coaching
  • Managing Organizational Knowledge
  • Career Planning and Talent Management

Program Description - Submit a description of your presentation that we can use to promote the event. By doing so, you are giving us permission to use this description on our website. Please make it interesting and informative enough to attract an audience. Please limit you description to 100 words. (required)

Learning Objectives - List three learning objectives that will describe what the audience member may be able to do or take away from your presentation. Please make them brief, specific and try to define specific skills or knowledge that may be gained. (required)

Presentation Mode – Describe the type of presentation, for example: case study, simulation/game, or information presentation. Also describe any methods for engaging your audience, and your audio-visual needs. Please limit to 100 words. (required)

Speaker Reference (1 of 2) – Please list at least one people who have heard you speak to a group of 50 to 100 person and can describe your performance. (required)
